2006 - European Brass Band Champions

1993 - a great year for BBW

In 1993, BBW became the winner of the European Brass Band Championships in Plymouth. Until then, it was only the third time in the European Championships history that a continental band succeeded in taking the highest award in brass banding. The Norwegian Eikanger band did it twice before (in 1988 and 1989). However, BBW's victory was unique because it was the first band achieving the title of European Brass Band Champion under a continental conductor.
