2de plaats op All England Masters International Brass Band Championship 2016!
Brassband Willebroek behaalde een 2de plaats op de All England Masters International Brass Band Championship 2016 in het Lighthouse Theatre te Kettering (UK). Het is een persoonlijk beste resultaat voor de band op deze wedstrijd, principal cornet Lode Violet werd beloond met de '4Barsrest Best Instrumentalist Award'. Young Brassband Willebroek wint opnieuw EYBBC 2016!
De jongeren van de Willebroekse muziekacademie veroverden zondag in het Franse Lille opnieuw de Europese Brassband titel bij de jeugd. Onder leiding van de onvolprezen dirigent Frans Violet behaalde YBBW 97% en versloeg een sterk en goed voorbereid deelnemersveld. In totaal waren er 8 bands die deelnamen in de reeks tot en met 22 jaar, waaronder bands uit Zwitserland, Engeland, Nederland, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Denemarken, Lithouwen en Wales.
