Young Brassband Willebroek wint opnieuw EYBBC 2016!
De jongeren van de Willebroekse muziekacademie veroverden zondag in het Franse Lille opnieuw de Europese Brassband titel bij de jeugd. Onder leiding van de onvolprezen dirigent Frans Violet behaalde YBBW 97% en versloeg een sterk en goed voorbereid deelnemersveld. In totaal waren er 8 bands die deelnamen in de reeks tot en met 22 jaar, waaronder bands uit Zwitserland, Engeland, Nederland, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Denemarken, Lithouwen en Wales. YBBW in a new outfit
From now on Young Brassband Willebroek won’t be performing in their classic black polo shirts anymore. After a long search band manager Jaak Kuterna found a partner for a new outfit. The band wants to thank the “Academy for music and spoken word Willebroek” for sponsoring the printing costs. We keep performing in a polo shirt, but the colour is white. Willebroek has the upper hand during E(Y)BBC 2015
Brassband Willebroek gained second place in the championship division scoring 96% during a well-filled 38th European Brassband Championship in the German city of Freiburg. In a competition that is becoming more and more attractive on an international level, they came in second only by 1% difference from the semi-professional Black Dyke Band, who also won the soloist prize. YBBW in nieuwe outfit!
Young Brassband Willebroek is vanaf heden niet meer te bewonderen in de klassieke zwarte polo’s. Na een lange zoektocht heeft bandmanager Jaak Kuterna een partner gevonden voor een nieuwe outfit. De band bedankt hierbij in het bijzonder de Academie voor Muziek & Woord Willebroek voor de sponsoring van de bedrukkingskosten. We behouden de polo als kledingstuk, maar de kleur is wit.
